Admission Requirements and Application

Applications must be received by January 17 of each year. Qualified applicants will be invited for an interview scheduled from mid-January through late March. Enrollment in the program is limited.

Entrance Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University
  • Strong Academic Record with one official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate course work required
  • Resume of professional background (if applicable)
  • Statement of personal and professional goals
  • 3 letters of recommendation regarding the candidate’s potential for graduate study, commitment to Jewish leadership and character
  • A personal interview (by phone for out of town applicants)

Technology Expectation
All students are provided Internet access to link electronically to classmates, faculty and student services. In order to use these technological resources, all students must have the computer skills necessary to support academic work (i.e., word processing, PowerPoint) and to access e-mail and the Internet. Students are expected to have access to a computer for their use off-campus.


Administrative Program:
This rigorous, accelerated program strives to meet the needs of working educators and those seeking leadership positions in educational institutions. The M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision and Day School Principal Certification is offered on a convenient schedule of two consecutive summers of intensive study followed by a fall school based practicum and independent study and research paper.

Classes for the Master Degree meet Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M.-3:00 P.M. and a minimum of two evenings each week for two six week summer sessions. There is also a one-day intensive seminar held each summer on a Sunday on various topics related to Jewish education. The subsequent fall practicum and independent study will be fulfilled under the supervision of a mentor administrator in an approved institution, selected for its demonstrated excellence as well as its relation to the candidate’s philosophical beliefs and career goals.
